SUPing-its totally cool yo

SUPing- also know as 'stand up paddle boarding'
learned that new lingo the other weekend when we went SUPing with some friends in Sausalito.
It was probably the most perfect day for it too!
I have done it before, but never in the bay and I LOVED it!
The best part was paddling around by the houseboats...they even had little streets made of water to paddle down.

I wish I got pictures of us actually SUPing, but instead I got some pretty pictures of the water and HUGE yacht that will be mine some day.. of course.

I didn't remember there even being palm trees in Nor. Cal. But, there definitely are!

What I miss about the Fall

So what I've been told about the San Francisco weather is that we don't have much of a fall.
I about cried when I heard this.
Because FALL is my favorite season of them all.
The crisp air, football games, beautiful leaves and colors, deep earthy tones.
Halloween.Thanksgiving!!
So, since it has just barely decided to be warm here in the city {people call it 'indian summer'} I decided to reminisce on my own private Idaho and the wonderful fall weather.
Here are some pictures I took last year around this same time....
ahhhhh i love it.

University of Idaho campus in the fall

All I know is I better see at least one leaf change over here at some point or I'm going to freak out.
On a happier note...we are just barely getting summer weather so its almost like I get to have 2 summers
{not too shabby if you ask me}

Ending of Fashion Week

To end our fashion week we went to the SF Fashion Bash put on by SassyCityChicks. This was a huge sample sale where we got a swag bag, free make overs, drinks, and hair do's. We decided to get our hair done cause why not...right?
Overall the event was kind of lame, but getting our hair done was fun--even tho none of us really enjoyed our looks...mine was insane.
Oh and of course right outside the opening doors was a food truck party filled with food trucks from all different countries-- Peruvian to Thai to African to cupcakes. YUM
We decided on the Peruvian Sanguchon Food Truck. I got the Pan con Chicharron. Definitely not my favorite dish, but this food truck party happens every Friday so many choices to choose from!

One of the definite highlights of the night was our Peddicab ride from the Embarcadero to the Marina. Poor guy had to climb a huge hill with us in the back!

Moneyball

Just went to my first Oakland A's game last weekend...and it was sad--fun, but sad. The A's won, but no one and I mean no one was there to notice. They played the Detroit Tigers and there were definitely more Tigers there than A's. But, who can blame them when their name is the Oakland Athletics (A's)--kinda lame name if you ask me.
But, the coolest part of the Oakland A's is that Brad Pitt is coming out with a new movie called Moneyball. It's apparently about how the Oakland A's changed the world of baseball. I also found out that yesterday Brad Pitt and Angelina were in Oakland at the stadium for the premier! I'm so close yet so far away!

The other hi-light of the game, besides Oakland winning, was the fact that we got FREE hotdogs (normally $7, so this is the coolest thing ever) and I got GARLIC FRIES...if any of you saw my Giants post you know how much I love these. :)

Fashion Week in SF

While I wish I had the 'in' in the fashion world and got invited to every fashion show and party, unfortunately, I don't... BUT my friends and I decided to have a little fun of our own during the week.

I had only heard of FNO (Fashion Night Out) a few times before from a friend living in NYC. I thought it sounded so cool, but thought only certain people got invited. Then when I found out my friend Emily from  GlitzGlamGranola was going I just had to join! We had an amazing time and got to meet Anh from 9to5 Chic and Blair from Atlantic-Pacific (two of my absolute favorite fashion bloggers). The whole time we got to sip champagne and have fancy hors d'oeuvres. And all of it was FREE! I felt like a legit fashionista! :)

I just love how much there is to do in the city!

Take me out to the ball game...

literally. I will admit I have NEVER been to a pro baseball game in my whole life. Not only did I enjoy it, but I also discovered one of my new favorite things in the whole world..garlic fries!!! The whole stadium smells like a big massive basket of garlic-lovliness. I died and went to heaven. If anyone ever is thinking of what to eat at a Giants game skip the hotdog and go for the goods.

Okay, anyway....so we went to happy hour at Pete's right  after work and had a few drinks before the game. Pete's is right across the street from the game so it was handy to walk right over and saw an amazing view of the Bay bridge along the way.
THEN........we saw the Giants lose to the Dodgers...ugh. But, its okay because I got to watch the 'kissing cam' on the big screen which is the best part anyway AND we got to stand up and sing 'take me out to the ball game' which totally reminded me of my t-ball days.

SF Farmers Market

It was a beautiful sunny day so my aunt, cousins, and my aunts friend decided to go to the SF Farmers Market. Not only was it amazing, but it was so interesting to people watch. Oh how I love to people watch in San Francisco. It's definitely the best.
After the market we enjoyed some fresh fruit and an awesome lunch by the bay.
