Our Year: 49ers & SF Giants

I thought this post would be appropriate right now because the NINERS just won last nights game against Green Bay! One step closer to the Super Bowl! Last year we made it this far but lost in the second round so I'm hoping this is our year! It is so much fun being in a city (or state) that has a pro team and especially when they win!

So...I'm a little off on my timing of posts, but since living here I've become a big baseball fan. So having the Giants win the World Series was like nothing I've ever experienced! All of the streets in the city were flooded with people and everyone magically appeared with brooms in their hands (cause we swept the series). Champagne bottles were also spraying and popping all over the place! I've never experienced anything like it...so awesome.

Then....I went to my first NFL game at Candlestick park with my girlfriends! The game ended up being a tie 24-24 but there isn't anything like being inside of an NFL stadium!

I hope the 49ers make it all the way this year!!! #NINERSNATION

Halloween party

I'm finally catching up on some blogging! I thought I couldn't blog anymore because my blogger account said I had too many pictures and had to pay for it. Luckily, I tried to do this post and it worked great!

This Halloween my roomies and I decided to throw a Halloween/house warming party since we never had a house warming after we moved in. It ended up being a rager, but it really was so much fun. My co-worker DJed all night and everyone danced and partied on the roof deck since it was such amazing weather. Since Halloween is so intense at the bars in the city (a lot like New Years Eve) it was fun to be able to stick in one spot with all of my friends. Also, in case you can't tell-- I'm a rock for Halloween----Rock, Paper, Scissors. :)

HR Tech in Chicago

Chicago is one of my favorite cities. After getting sent their the first time on a  business trip, I totally fell in love. Not only is it extremely clean and beautiful, the food is to die! I had a lot of time to wander around in what happened to be 80 degree weather in March! I felt pretty freakin' lucky.

This time I got to go with more co-workers for a large event called HR Tech. We ended up getting to go to a lot of great parties all over the city. One at the top of the Wit hotel and another at the House of Blues. We especially loved when two of my local friends took us to a speak easy hidden next to a CVS! I can't wait for my next trip to Chi-town!

Santa Cruz

I've really been trying to branch out of SF lately, hence all of my trips to foreign lands (or other cities in the US), but I've really wanted to venture around California since there are so many great places to go within the state! I decided to get together with a few friends and go on a day trip to Santa Cruz. We have a friend who grew up there and showed us all around. The boardwalk and the surf spots along the coast were the best parts. I also could not believe my eyes while driving down Highway 1 to get there. I was amazed that I lived so close to so much ocean! (ha!) I can't wait to go back to Santa Cruz for a surfing trip this time! Something on my bucket list that I really want to do!!

idaho

Nothing is better than homecoming back in my old college town. I was literally there for 10 hours, but I got to see so many people that the short trip was super worth it. It was great to see my sister and cousin and all of my friends that came back for the weekend and especially the leaves!!! Weird i know... but....I love Autumn and I especially love it in Idaho!

Ocean Beach

Us girls had a hard, long day at work one day...so we decided to adventure out to Ocean Beach. We ate at the Park Chalet and enjoyed the wonderful 80 degree weather we were having in the city. The sun just happened to be setting as we were leaving dinner so we took a nice walk along the beach. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Sometimes its hard to imagine I live by all of this beauty! We're thinking we need to do a bon-fire on the beach when the weather starts heating up too!

Oktoberfest in SF

October is one of my favorite months of the year and for those who know me know Fall is my absolute FAVORITE season. Because of the 'weak' (the is the truth) fall in the city I have to do anything I can to get closer to the the fall season. Sooo of course when I heard about Oktoberfest in the city I was all in! A group of my friends all met up by the ballpark and went to one of the old pier buildings to celebrate. Oktoberfest was set with a German band, steins, tons of San Franciscans and wonderful weather! Such a great day to celebrate my favorite season in the city.
