Oregon Coast Vacation

Just about every 4 years my grandparents take the whole family on a summer vacation at the Oregon Coast. We typically stay in or around Lincoln City, but venture out to a few other towns on the coast and of course stop in Portland. This year, I met the fam in Portland and made the drive down the coast with them. The drive is sometimes the best part because we get to see little fruit stands and the beautiful countryside. I really do love Oregon! We rented out a house on the ocean and enjoyed some fresh fish chowda, some s'mores, a few walks on the beach, kite flying and gambling of course! Sometimes its great to just be free to do whatever and not have a rushed vacation. I felt like I got a lot of relaxing and reading in!

Home Sweet Home

I went home for a few days in July after our trip to Portland. I hadn't been home in a really really long time so I had to pack it all in! I got to see two of my girlfriend's babies, Kinley and Jacob--such cuties! Its amazing I have friends who already have kids! I loved hanging at my house, seeing my friends, sleeping in my own bed and lounging at the lake. It's always so nice to go home even if its for a small amount of time! I miss it!

Portlandia

On our trip to the Oregon Coast this summer we decided to make a pit stop in Portland for a few nights and we ended up having a great time exploring! I hadn't been to Portland for a really long time so it was soo great to go back. We shopped in Hawthorne, ate in the Alphabet and Pearl districts, ventured around the Japanese tea garden, and got a bunch of donuts at Voodoo Donuts of course. The city reminds me of a small version of San Francisco. I just loved it!

4th of July in McCall

Nothing, and I mean nothing beats McCall in the summertime. I was so lucky to get to go to the lake this summer to celebrate the 4th of July with all of my family and friends. I can't get enough of the how beautiful it is and how many wonderful memories I have growing up there. Now that I live in SF its harder to split my time from going to all the places I love in Idaho, but this is seriously one of my favorite spots and I already am dreaming of my next trip there! I had so much fun with my family and friends waterskiing, watching fireworks, celebrating birthdays, making s'mores, eating ribs and corn on the cob, seeing my precious little Lucky puppy, celebrating the 4th with my friends on North Beach and relaxing in the sun.
Dreaming of it now....
