i love wine

and I love wine country..

Just went on an amazing trip to Calistoga, CA (about 1hr from here) to visit my bff and wine buff/tour guide, Logan Smyser!

I was lucky enough to get a wonderful tour, from Miss Logan herself, of the Italian castle also known as Castello di Amorosa, or the castle of love. I totally recommend getting a tour and wine tasting there! Awesome wine and awesome views.

For late night drinks we hit up Solage (a 4 star hotel in the area) which was in---credible. I felt like a celeb.

Next day we hit up 2 more wineries, Vincent Arroyo winery, and got a free tour and tasting from Vincent Arroyo himself! What an experience that was!

And then of course, we hit up Chateau Montelena, famous from the 1973 blind Chardonnay test that beat the French...anyone see Bottleshock?

The whole trip was amazing and it was even better to reunite with my friend!

Fall Favorites

My absolute favorite season of the year is fall. The leaves and the cool air are to die for.
However, I'm really not sure how fall is around SF?
 I'll have to see if there is even a legit season.
I'll be sad if not!
But, I heard that October is 'the' best month in San Francisco so I'll just have to wait and see.
As for now, here are a few things I'm loving for the fall season!

FALL favs

1. Leopard print: What isn't to love about leopard and it's been around for a long time now. I totally want these flats cause they'd go with EVERYTHING!
2. Polka Dot: love polka dots, always have. This fall they are coming out all over the place!
3. Python: python print and snake everything, kinda weird, but so cool.
4.Hunter green, and emerald for that matter, is totally in. Basically you can't go wrong with darker shades of green. I want these boots sooo bad!
5. Leather baby. Enough said.
6. Muted polishes
7. Booties, oh and of course riding boots. I have about a million pairs of boots, but I'm always wanting more and these are cute!
8. The color rust. This skirt isn't bad either :)
9. Structured bags & the color 'mustard'
10. Ponchos

I'm off to my first trip to California wine country for good company, good wine, and good food! Can't wait!

Ferry Boat

The ferry boat has become my new best friend while living in Marin County. It takes me to and from the city in about 20 mins which is awesome! Definitely the perfect ride until I get moved over to SF.

Here is a collection of my pictures from my last few rides.

This is my view every day!

Aren't I lucky?

                                                                           {golden gate}

and of course San Quentin

In 2 days I get to go visit my friend Logan in Napa Valley! It's my first time to Napa and I seriously can't wait!

Stinson Beach

Went to Stinson beach yesterday for the first time! It was fah---reeeeeezing! But, I rode my bike up to Muir beach so I warmed up in no time (super duper steep climb and of course I'm outta shape). But, it was fun to actually be on the ocean and not the bay. So refreshing. The drive to get there took about 45 mins. down a windy road, but totally worth the view from the cliffs!

I can't wait to go back when it's really nice weather!

I have arrived.]]

I have finally arrived in San Francisco and am continuously falling in love with it over and over. So much to do, so much to see! The city. The ocean. Everything is so new and exciting. We arrived on Thursday and then went into the city on Friday for my interview! I'm still crossing my fingers for the job, but it was a wonderful first day! Now I'm on to more and more interviews in the upcoming weeks, which means more and more adventures in the city!  I also met with the DG alum group for taco night...such a fun time to meet great girls!

Provence

{our little house}

{the neighbors}

{lavender ice cream..incredible stuff right there}

{Gorde}

So we arrived in Provence and immediately went to a little town called Rochegude where we settled in to our little lavender house. SO adorable! All the houses were once again...AMAZING! All of them had colored shudders and colored doors with flowers in their windowsills. I wanna live there so bad!

We took a bunch of road trips around the area and MY main mission was to find blooming lavender fields. Thats literally all I wanted to do. So we searched and searched, drove all around the countryside and finally we came upon magnificent lavender fields and man was I happy! What a beautful sight it is to see an entire field of purple {instead of green} for a change! Wow...totally fell in love with the area. 3 of my favorite places we went in Provence were Gorde & Vaison la Romaine & Sault (great little towns).

Overall the trip was incredible! We stayed for 4 days and then headed back to Paris to catch our flight back to the US of A and of course to our wonderful state of Idaho :)
